Camping in Jamaica's rainforest

Pitch a tent under the canopy at the centre of Jamaica. Rainforest trails, river swims and farm food on family land. Join the list for opening dates.

Most visitors see Jamaica from a beach chair. Campers at Jamaica Pines wake up to birdsong in the canopy, cool mountain air and a morning that belongs to them.

Our campsites sit on family land at the centre of the island, tucked between working farmland and untouched rainforest. Each site is cleared by hand and spaced for privacy, so you hear the forest before you hear your neighbours.

Who camping suits

Camping here is for hikers, solo travellers, friends on a budget and anyone who would trade a minibar for a night sky full of stars. If you'd like a real bed at the end of the day, the glamping suites give you the same forest with more comfort.

First time camping in the tropics?

Nights in the hills are cooler than the coast, rain can arrive fast and leave just as quickly, and the forest gets loud after dark in the best way. Our Plan your visit page covers what to pack and what to expect.
